Review:

American Cheese is produced, written and directed by Sandra Ruiz with Monique Fleming and Jay Jones in the cast. The questions posed are: "Can a high-school quarterback be an actor?" Can a freaky costumer actually have a non-violent relationship with such a person?
Hemingway's Rose is produced by Dana Vermette and Matt Thompson. Thompson wrote and directed with Lance Smith, Ted Reiss and Dana Vermette in the cast. Max (Lance Smith) is stuck at a table in a small restaurant with George (Ted Reis). George is very good at weaving his interpretation of reality. He does it with great gusto but in a threatening manner. Max takes just about all he can, while the poor waitress (Dana Vermette) is put in the middle, trying to calm George down. But then things seem to change.
Curse of the Santo Diablo is an AASD collaborative project written by Todd Blakesley, Allyson Collins, Jim Caputo, Jason Connors, Jason Heil, Leslie Ridgeway, George Soete and Noell Tarpey. It is directed by George Soete and Todd Blakesley with Allyson Collins, Jason Connors, Jill Drexler, Volt Francisco, Joey Landwehr, and Noell Tarpey in the cast. 'Tis truly a curse, but the cast seem to be having a lot of fun. Pancho, a sock puppet steals the show.

Pieces is produced, written, and directed by James Anthony Ellis and stars Erin Cronican and Len Irving. This is Victoria's (Erin Cronican) story with only one-line plot movers from Reflections (Len Irving). Reflections effectively changes the male in her life and her age as well, as she regresses from a bride-to-be to a child. Cronican marvelously handles the stresses of each age completely naturally. As a bride-to-be, she is a happy young woman looking forward to a new and exciting life. That is until Reflections enters. As she regresses, her movements and speech capture the age exactly. The best performance of the evening.
Well of Seven Echoes Version 1 and 2 are two one-page plays by Todd Blakesley starring Dulce Soliz, Brandon Walker, Jennifer Eve Kraus. Three people on a small island: Jan, Pat, and Terry. In each version they change roles. The story is simplicity itself. Jan and Pat have a lover's spat, and Pat walks off, not to be found. Terry consoles Jan. Well, actually, they make love. Thus, as we see the story from the love of two women to the love of a man and a woman, with the exact same dialogue, how we react is as important as the script. Interesting concept. Let's see what the upcoming "Version 3" brings.
